Teaching Post

 

Full-Time Inclusive Education Aide (Ref: LST/FTIEA/20170606_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Degree holder with additional training in Inclusive Education or other relevant discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with learning diversity
  • Fluency in both English and Putonghua-Chinese with good communication skills
  • Prior experience working in an inclusive school setting would be an advantage
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Caring, responsible and patient

The appointee will report to the Assistant Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support team. The appointee is expected to provide learning support and assistance for students with diverse learning needs.  Under the guidance of the class teachers, the appointee works with students as individual or small groups in the classroom. The appointee works with the class teachers to develop, implement and review the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). He/She also works with the parents of the included students.

Full-Time/Part-Time Guidance Counselor (Ref: LST/FT/PTGC/20170606_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • A recognized degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work or other relevant discipline
  • years of solid working experience in counseling roles, preferably in school setting
  • Fluency in both English and Putonghua-Chinese with strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, case work and group work skills

The appointee will report to the Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support team. The appointee is expected to provide school-based counseling support for students on individual as well as group basis, work closely with parents and teachers, implement student well-being programs, collaborate with different teaching and pastoral teams whenever appropriate to ensure students’ diverse needs are met holistically.

Accounting Officer (Ref: FIN-AAcc/20170619_cto)

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set of accounts including GL, A/R & A/P.
  • Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Assist in month end reporting and annual audit.
  • Assist in enhancing financial reporting system, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience, experiences in school operation is an advantage.
  • Hands on experience in MS office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiar with SAP B1 is an advantage.
  • Detailed-minded, analytical, mature, independent and be able to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills in a  multi-cultural environment.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • Immediate available preferred.

Auditorium Manager (Ref: CO/AM/20170323/bk_isf)

The Auditorium Manager is responsible for the overall management of the auditorium and coordinating all aspects of services to groups utilizing the auditorium. The Auditorium Manager is also responsible for promoting the auditorium to the community and relevant performing arts organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all auditorium events including scheduling, set-up and presentation
  • Coordinate the technical demands of productions, performances and events using the auditorium.
  • Manage the auditorium schedule to ensure that all events are scheduled and not overlap with other school events.
  • Work with School Principles and Senior Management Team to maintain an accurate master calendar of all events in the auditorium and serve as the contact person/resource for staff/administration in planning events
  • Provide the technical support for school productions, performances and events.  
  • Maintain safety and efficiency of all auditorium technical facilities: physical plant, stage rigging, construction area, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Plan and develop all operational and logistical aspects of events including development of timelines, staffing roles and responsibilities, obtaining vendor quotes, facility and layout recommendation, vendor coordination and technological requirements, including troubleshooting as needed.
  • Develop a working relationship with building and grounds crew and grounds coordinator to support safety requirements for students and auditorium space.
  • Maintain and track budget, ensuring budget compliance; reconcile accounts immediately after event completion.
  • Ensure all events comply with School policies and procedures, including but not limited to financial policies, risk management policies, and procurement policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with an emphasis in theatre management or a relevant discipline
  • 6+ year relevant working experience and knowledge in the management of a large auditorium, including but not limited to
    • construction and set design
    • lighting design, stage rigging, audio and sound reinforcement
    • stage management/production management
    • professional standards of stage safety
  • Experience in promoting an auditorium and a broad understanding of performing arts organizations in Hong Kong will be preferred
  • The ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, supervisory and communication skills

Business Manager (Procurement) (Ref: FIN/BM/20170614_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sourcing and procurement of all teaching resources, equipments, supplies and furniture, services etc. for the school to comply with school’s procurement policy
  • Prepare tender document, handle tender clarification and evaluation, negotiation with suppliers on commercial terms, prepare award recommendation, and support contract administration etc.
  • Manage suppliers’ relationship, evaluate and monitor suppliers’ performance, source new suppliers and products / services from time to time
  • Maintain, coordinate and manage all resources and supplies inventories
  • Lead to enhance office environment and perform administrative services
  • Handle school renovation and relocation projects
  • Assist procurement transformation project, plus other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Procurement or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience (including 3 years of supervisory experience) in corporate services procurement / office administration in a MNC or with multinational teams.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Mature, self-motivated, proactive, analytical, detail-oriented and able to work independently and under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, and strong negotiation skills, fast learner and team player
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Previous work experience with ERP Procurement system, such as SAP would be an advantage

Human Resources Manager (Ref: HRO-HRM/20170523_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for sourcing and recruiting for quality non-academic and academic staff
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans in an effective and efficient manner e.g. work with hiring managers on recruiting plans, create job description, lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position, revising existing policies & procedures
  • Administrative Duties with the help of recruitment team e.g. manage the use of recruiters, conduct prescreening interviews, maintain data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees via a screening vendor, assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters, assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite, review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements, assist in preparing and sending offer packages, assist in organizing new employee orientation etc
  • Aid corporate communication in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally
  • Responsible for managing the recruitment team to conduct teacher registration of all academic staff and visa application of all staff & consultants
  • Professional Development e.g. Identify training and development needs, plan and manage the delivery of training and professional development program including teambuilding activities
  • Integration of HR services and functions with other operational and academic functions
  • Perform other special projects as assigned by the Head of HR

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
  • Experience with corporate recruiting is required
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

IT Support Administrator (Ref: IT/ITSA/20170615_isf)

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff members, students and parents of the Academy.
  • Provide support of hardware, classroom IT facilities, software, network, e-mail, office applications and educational software.
  • Assist in the organizing and running of any IT related activities.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software systems, network equipment and printers.
  • Repair equipment and replace parts.
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults.

Minimum requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of OS X and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (both Windows and Mac environment).
  • Knowledge of administering users and computers via Active Directory.
  • Good team player, self-motivated, mature and able to work independently.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese & Putonghua).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work from Monday to Friday
  • Provide clerical support to Academy Librarians
  • Receive and prepare resources and materials
  • Assist in cataloging and the maintenance of bibliographic and user records
  • Assist in the upkeep of library facilities, shelving and displays
  • Perform circulation duties
  • Monitor the library discipline during opening hours                                          

Requirements:

  • Holder of the Certificate of Library Assistant (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a library environment
  • A good command of both English and Chinese (Putonghua), able to work independently, good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of Chinese and English word processing, library information systems and other office software applications
  • Able to speak fluent English and Putonghua
