Wushu and Physical Education
The ISF Academy is the first school in Hong Kong to introduce Wushu in the primary curriculum. The curriculum is designed with reference to the Youth Wushu Badges Award Scheme (YWBAS) of the Hong Kong Wushu Union and the Chinese Wushu Duan System. The curriculum focuses on providing student’s physical and mental development with moral values; basic Chinese Wushu theories; and inculcating Chinese culture and the philosophy of Wushu.
The Physical Education curriculum aims to develop students’ motor and manipulative skills while helping students understand the health-related benefits of regular physical activity. Students also learn to develop sportsmanship and co-operate with others.
