Head of Design (Ref: SEC/HOD/2018115_isf)

The school is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Head of Design to work in the Secondary School for 2018/19 Academic Year. The MYP and DP courses are well established and extremely well resourced. New facilities for Design will enter service early in 2018. At MYP, students make use of the Design cycle and are given a grounding in materials design, systems and robotics design in addition to fashion design.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams of Design teachers and be able to offer expertise one or more areas of materials design, robotics, product or systems design up to DP​ level. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a subject-team ethos that reflects the ISF missions, values, and goals, including taking responsibility for academic standards within subject team
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement all subject-team programs and policies pertaining to MYP/DP and contributing to students’ ISF school experience
  • Remain active and informed of current practices and innovations within subject and bring best practice to ISF colleagues, including using ICT for subject development.
  • Introduce and maintain systems to monitor the safety of machines, tools and instructional spaces and practices.
  • Lead and manage the ordering of curriculum reliant consumable and non consumable resources in line with Budget and student inflation.
  • Introduce and update new and old policies in line with both internal and external influences.
  • Welcome, inform, and mentor new subject team members
  • Coordinate subject teacher team effectively through working collaboratively to achieve team, MYP/DP, and divisional goals, including using data to raise student achievement and add value
  • Set and agenda for and chair regular subject team meetings in consultation with CLT, facilitate curriculum documentation and mapping (scope and sequence), including assessment monthly assessment calendar, by liaising with Grade-level Leaders and MYP/DP coordinators
  • Ensure that students’ work is regularly assessed and the assessments recorded according to MYP/DP principles and ISF practices

  • Represent subject team in communication with ISF stakeholders

Job Requirements:

Employment Package:

  • Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience. We will offer an attractive benefits package including medical, life, professional development & continuing  education and transportation to the right candidate.
  • With six years of relevant teaching experience, undergraduate / postgraduate training in education, and a master’s degree, you would earn around HK$57,610 per month (HK$10.8 = 1 UK Pound), as well as the contract completion gratuity.
  • As head of department, or head of year, you could earn an additional HK$1,500 – HK$14,000 a month as responsibility allowance.
  • We offer a two-year contract with a gratuity of 15% of base salary, paid on successful completion of the contract.

Administration and Front Desk Officer- Secondary Office (Ref: SEC/AFDO/20180816_isf)

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide full administrative support to the Front Desk and Secondary School.
  • First contact point for the Secondary School at the reception counter, include handling telephone/walk-in enquiries from 07:30 – 16:30 or 08:30 – 17:30, managing email, receiving and greeting visitors in a professional and warm manner, receiving / signing for deliveries to the Secondary school, arranging mail and courier and special school bell. 
  • Coordinate Secondary G6-G12 student daily attendance, including follow-up for student attendance.
  • Coordinate PowerSchool data entry supporting timetable, venues, class lists, and individual student records e-administration, portal synchronization, and electronic locker management.
  • Perform data entry, documentation, printing, and filing.
  • Update teachers cover arrangement and leave record.

Education Technology System Developer (Ref: ET/ETSD/20180625_isf)

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and provision of technical development and support of applications that comprise the school’s EdTech systems, including Moodle
  • Support integration of internal EdTech systems and platforms with external platforms
  • Design and deliver systems, in conjunction with the Head of EdTech, Head of Primary ICT, Academic Performance staff, HoS, GLLs and Head of IT that facilitate the construction of a holistic educational digital profile of student growth and development

Experiential Learning Curriculum Development Manager (Ref: CCA/ELM/20180629_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop the experiential learning curriculum and link it to the core curriculum of ISF;
  • Oversee the daily operation of Experiential Learning Activities;
  • Manage ongoing review and improvement of existing programs;
  • Monitor the performance of service providers to ensure course content, methodology and practices are in line with philosophy of  ISF;

  • Certification in various outdoor pursuits including high event activity, mountaineering, kayaking, climbing, and other outdoor / wilderness activity and water sport activity;
  • Relevant experience at teaching students of primary and secondary age;
  • A strong leader with excellent people management skills;

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff members, students and parents of the Academy.
  • Provide support of hardware, classroom IT facilities, software, network, e-mail, office applications and educational software.
  • Assist in the organizing and running of any IT related activities.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software systems, network equipment and printers.
  • Repair equipment and replace parts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Communications and contribute to the overall strategy goals of the office e.g. school events, outreach programs, publication, translation and other new initiatives etc.
  • Work with faculties and senior management to devise engagement strategies & plans to achieve stakeholder engagement objectives

Responsibilities: 
  • Perform all administrative support for the smooth running of Experiential Learning Program including arranging for overseas and local transportation, liaising with oversea service providers to implement programs, managing the online registrations of Experiential Learning Programs, ensuring all travel documents are collected, assembling Experiential Learning Program handbooks and t-shirts, and providing any other assistance required. 
  • Collect feedback from teachers and parents to implement changes to upcoming Experiential Learning Programs.

Social and Emotional Learning Coordinator (Ref: LST/SELC/20180321_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education/Psychology or other relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of educational experience in working with students; instructional and school leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in the field of social and emotional learning (or related experience)
  • Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills with high social and emotional competence demonstrated in workplace

The appointee will report to the Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support Team (LST). The appointee is expected to coordinate an evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum with aligned scope and sequence across whole school. The appointee is responsible for cultivating a safe, caring and positive learning environment for students and engaging effectively a variety of stakeholders. The appointee provides leadership and training for implementation of the SEL curriculum.

  • Responsible for operation and management of the technical facilities;

The ISF Pre-School

The ISF Pre-School is located in Sheung Wan and offers a unique bilingual (Putonghua / English) program to young learners from two years and eight months to five years of age. Administration and Support Staff

Administrative Assistant (Ref: PRE/AA/20180815_isf)

Responsibilities
  • Support front desk operation with a welcoming and professional attitude.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties in support of the Pre-School.
  • Assist Pre-School activities as assigned.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and performing duties as assigned.
Requirements: 
  • Diploma holder or above
  • At least 2 year’s relevant experiences, preferably in office administration in a school setting
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing.
  • Good communication skills and manner.
  • Organized, responsible, efficient and self-motivated.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote school image and student recruitment
  • Arrange and conduct school tours and other admissions events
  • Handle all admissions enquiries, applications and related matters
  • Monitor and manage information pertaining to admissions applications
  • Manage operations of admissions assessments
  • Support daily administrative operations and handle ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, preferably in business administration
  • Minimum of two years working experience, preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Careful, conscientious, organized, and takes initiative
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pleasant, stable, independent, mature, and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Chinese and English word processing, and should possess knowledge and skills in graphics design and other office software applications

Temporary Library Helper (Ref: PS/PLH /20180518_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cataloging and the maintenance of bibliographic and user records.
  • Assist in the upkeep of library facilities and shelving.                             

Requirements:

  • HKDSE holder with 5 passes including English and Chinese.
  • Holder of the Certificate for Library Assistants and work experience in a library environment preferred.
  • Able to speak fluent English and Mandarin, and be able to work independently, with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Chinese and English word processing, library information systems and other office software applications.
  • Available to work one or two days per week (depends on the actual business needs)
  • Students in Higher Diploma or Degree program are welcome to apply
