Faculty Staff

 

Part-Time Squash Coach (Ref:CCA/PTSC/20190508_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide specific squash coaching to students to expand skills and elevate their games.
  • Keep accurate records and schedules.
  • Any other duties that the Head of Co-Curricular Activities sees fit.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The above working hours may vary subject to the actual timetable of co-curricular activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Solid experience of coaching squash within schools.
  • Certificate for qualified Level 1 Coach; advanced level will be preferred.
  • Capable of planning and delivering against identified goals.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Administration and Support Staff

 

Administration Officer (Front Desk) – Secondary Office (Ref: SEC/AFDO/20190517_isf)

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • First contact point for the Secondary Office at the reception counter.
  • Provide full operation support to the Front Desk at Secondary Office from 07:30 – 16:30 and 08:30 – 17:30 on rotating shift.
  • Provide administrative, operational and logistical support to Secondary faculty members.
  • Utilize school systems' data producing reports and lists.
  • Support school-wide and grade level events. 
  • Support school-wide operational needs.
  • Ability to provide written & verbal translation (English / Chinese).
  • Undertake other duties as required by the Office Manager and Secondary Leadership Team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor with a minimum 1 year / Sub-degree degree or Diploma holder with a minimum of 2 years of administration and customer service experience, preferably in school setting.
  • Tri-lingual (English, Mandarin and Cantonese).
  • Logical thinking with good administrative, operation and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent PC skills (e.g. MS Office Suite, Chinese Character Input) especially in Excel and Google suite.
  • Pleasant manner with good communication & interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Able to prioritize work. Willing to take initiatives and proactive taking up ad-hoc tasks.
  • Able to work independently and also a team player
  • Require to multi-tasks in a stressful and constantly busy environment. Overtime work may require where essential.

Administrative Assistant – Co-Curricular Activities Department (Ref: CCA/AA/20190306_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in the daily operation on department activities, and coordinate with faculties and teaching staff.
  • Perform counter service and handle telephone enquiries with a high level of professionalism.
  • Render English-Chinese written translation duties.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, email responses, logistics on local and international travel arrangements.
  • Perform any other administrative duties as required.

Working Hours:

  • Every Monday to Friday: from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (during school terms)
  • Every Monday to Friday: from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (during term breaks and school holidays)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
  • Able to work independently, organized with good interpersonal skills and meet Deadlines.
  • Expertise in Google docs.
  • Proficient in Chinese and English word processing, and should possess knowledge and skills in graphics design and other office software applications.

Facilities Management – Project Manager (Ref:FMO/PM/20181128_isf)

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project works, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the facilities are operated efficiently in accordance with the statutory requirements and to conduct the following tasks independently and diligently: 
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Projects & Facilities Management and contribute to the overall strategy goals of the office
  • Prepare design and development proposals, including scope of capital works, major repair & maintenance works, and addition, alteration & improvement project
  • Liaise with government departments and consultants (if any) in matters relating to these campus projects
  • Prepare tender and analysis reports with recommendations to various committees/authorities for the approval
  • Conduct site visits when necessary and monitor site performance to ensure meeting the required standards until the completion of the works
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards of the campus
  • Prepare annual capital and operational budgets
  • Any other assignments assigned by the Head of Projects & Facilities Management

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Building related discipline
  • At least eight years of relevant and solid experience in project management
  • Possess good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in using AutoCAD and MS Office applications
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Able to work under pressure, independent and with minimum supervision

Finance Manager (Financial Management / Treasury / Investment) (Ref:FO/FM/20190527_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

 

Financial Management (approximately 50%)

  • Handle a full set of accounting for a newly created company
  • Responsible for accounting operation, including bank reconciliation, prepare P&L, balance sheet and other financial reports on monthly basis
  • Ensure the compliance of internal control and financial policies
  • Prepare of annual budget and forecast

Treasury (approximately 25%)

  • Take ownership of monthly profit & loss and analyses of treasury function
  • Perform and support treasury functions including cash management, fund management, bank administration
  • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short and long term planning; and provide cash analysis and other relative reports to management

Investment (approximately 25%)

  • Prepare financial analysis of current/potential investment projects, conduct quantitative analysis on investment opportunities, and provide investment recommendations
  • Work with internal and external parties for monitoring the risk-return of investment portfolio
  • Forecast cash flow positions and available funds for new investments; and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital spending/investment requirements
  • Act as Secretary of Investment Committee

Others

  • Support/lead other business activities and tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
  • Qualified CPA/ CFA holder will be an advantage
  • At least 8 years of solid financial management and treasury experience; and at least 3 years at managerial position
  • With experience from investment banks/ firms or private equity firms is preferable but not a compulsory requirement
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
  • A knowledgeable and experienced user of SAP would be added advantage

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff members, students and parents of the Academy.
  • Provide support of hardware, classroom IT facilities, software, network, e-mail, office applications and educational software.
  • Assist in the organizing and running of any IT related activities.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software systems, network equipment and printers.
  • Repair equipment and replace parts.
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults.
Requirements:
  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of OS X and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (both Windows and Mac environment).
  • Knowledge of administering users and computers via Active Directory.
  • Good team player, self-motivated, mature and able to work independently.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Makerspace/Science Lab Technician – Primary School (Ref: SY/MLT/20190528_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate the use of resources and facilities, and provide advice in the practical areas of need.
  • To set up the primary makerspace for student use, keep equipment and materials safe and in good working order.
  • To assist the Guided Discovery team, and Makerspace educator with materials purchases and setup of spaces.
  • Coordinate closely with primary school faculty associated with their professional development and curriculum requirements.
  • To ensure the availability of suitable materials and equipment, helping to compile orders and liaising or negotiating with suppliers and finance departments.
  • To work with outside organizations as required.
  • To offer administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.
  • To maintain and promote a healthy, safe and efficient working environment for all members of the ISF community.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is desired
  • With technical experience in a K-12 setting.
  • Ability to optimise novel protocols for Shuyuan programs and courses
  • Comfortable to learn how to use technologies including 3-D printers, laser cutters, other digital fabrication tools
  • Strong IT and procurement tools
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented with high initiative

Manager/ Assistant Manager – Communications and Community Office (Ref: C&C/AM_M/20190605_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective outreach and pro-active engagement programs and school-led workshops for parents & other stakeholders
  • Handle and resolve parents and other stakeholders’ enquiries and issues as appropriate
  • Help the school to establish effective community partnerships with parents and other stakeholders
  • Manage operational, administrative and communicational functions to ensure specific projects are planned and delivered efficiently on time, within budget, and that meet or exceed project goals. e.g. graduation ceremonies, admissions briefings, community events
  • Oversee the preparation of communications materials. Communicating, maintaining and developing internal and external client/ supplier relationships
  • Handle special events related to brand enhancement; assist in the execution of brand refresh recommendations by brand consultants
  • Organize roadshows to network with young professionals associations and university staff associations for Greenwood Program and financial aid publicity
  • Proof-read, edit, write and/or translate (in English and Chinese) school publications and promotional materials, e.g. weekly circulars, handbooks, school profile, Student Achievement booklet, school notices
  • Assist the Head of Communications in formulating and executing the communications strategy for ISF

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Marketing
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably in the education sector
  • Solid experience in project/event management and project communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • A self-motivated team player
  • Meticulous, detailed-oriented, with high initiative
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Foundation Board and Committees, including but not limited to arranging and set-up of workshop and/or events
  • Co-ordinate and assist in preparation of documents for various Board and Board’s committees meetings
  • Assist in handling matters relating to the Foundation’s Capital Notes and some general administrative duties
  • Maintain and update corporate records and filing system of the Secretariat
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Foundation Secretary and his/her delegates>

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree holder, with at least 3 years’ solid administrative work experience preferably in the education sector or of a related field.

Senior Guidance Counselor (Ref: LST/SGC/20190610_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

The appointee will report to the Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support Team (LST).  He/She is expected to provide school-based counseling support for students on individual as well as group basis, work closely with parents and teachers, implement student well-being programs, collaborate with different teaching and pastoral teams whenever appropriate to ensure students’ diverse needs are met holistically.  In addition, Senior Guidance Counselor is responsible for supervising LST staff and coordinating responses to critical incidents.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work or other relevant discipline; Master’s degree would be an added advantage
  • At least 6 years of relevant counseling experience in working with children and adolescents
  • Experience in bilingual school setting preferred
  • Experience in leading student well-being programs/projects
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, case work and group work skills

Temporary Swimming Instructor (4-Month Contract) (Ref: CCA/PTSI/20190515_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands on instruction of the Aquatic Program at The ISF Academy;
  • Maintain flow and continuity of all lessons, ensuring correct and accurate technique is taught and lessons achieve positive results;
  • Ensure swim areas are set up before each lesson and maintain the tidiness after the coaching session, lesson plans are followed and lesson attendance is accurately recorded;
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans and show initiative in improving lesson plans;
  • Take an active role in promoting the Aquatic Program to the ISF community.

Period of Employment (Maternity Leave Coverage):

  • From mid of September 2019 to mid of January 2020

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid HKASA swimming instructor certification or equivalent from an internationally recognized association;
  • Possess a Hong Kong Life Saving Society Bronze Medallion or equivalent from an internationally recognized association;
  • Possess a valid first aid and CPR certificate;
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in assisting teaching aquatics including infant, learning to swim and competitive elements;
  • Fluency in English and/or Mandarin is essential;
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent command of Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

Office Manager (Ref: PRE/OM/20190306_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration team to provide full spectrum of high quality administrative and customer services to ensure cost efficient operation, including effective communication with parents, maintenance of student and staff records; provision of quality resources, facilities management, employee relations, etc.;
  • Work closely with the principals to promote the Pre-School’s unique ethos, culture, and image;
  • Ensure the school exceeds the standards and legal requirements set by the Education Bureau and other relevant governing bodies;
  • Coordinate the organization of admissions events and co-curricular activities;
  • Support the management of the principal’s schedule and the school calendar;
  • Manage administrative staff performance and appraisal;
  • Review, revise and update promotional materials, school policies and administrative documents for the Pre-School; and
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Principal of Pre-School.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience, experience in school settings preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills, with good communication and negotiation techniques;
  • Work independently, multi-tasking, organized and accountable;
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • First aid certified; and
  • Proficient in computer use of MS Word, Excel & Chinese Word Processing.
