Experiential Learning Coordinator (Ref: CCA/ELI/20180528_isf)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the daily operation of Experiential Learning Activities as assigned by the Experiential Learning Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing review and improvement of existing programs and the development and implementation of new courses and curricula;

Head of Design (Ref: SEC/HOD/2018115_isf)

The school is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Head of Design to work in the Secondary School for 2018/19 Academic Year. At MYP, students make use of the Design cycle and are given a grounding in materials design, systems and robotics design in addition to fashion design.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams of Design teachers and be able to offer expertise one or more areas of materials design, robotics, product or systems design up to DP​ level. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a subject-team ethos that reflects the ISF missions, values, and goals, including taking responsibility for academic standards within subject team
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement all subject-team programs and policies pertaining to MYP/DP and contributing to students’ ISF school experience
  • Remain active and informed of current practices and innovations within subject and bring best practice to ISF colleagues, including using ICT for subject development.
  • Introduce and maintain systems to monitor the safety of machines, tools and instructional spaces and practices.
  • Lead and manage the ordering of curriculum reliant consumable and non consumable resources in line with Budget and student inflation.
  • Introduce and update new and old policies in line with both internal and external influences.
  • Welcome, inform, and mentor new subject team members
  • Coordinate subject teacher team effectively through working collaboratively to achieve team, MYP/DP, and divisional goals, including using data to raise student achievement and add value
  • Set and agenda for and chair regular subject team meetings in consultation with CLT, facilitate curriculum documentation and mapping (scope and sequence), including assessment monthly assessment calendar, by liaising with Grade-level Leaders and MYP/DP coordinators
  • Ensure that students’ work is regularly assessed and the assessments recorded according to MYP/DP principles and ISF practices
  • Liaise with other subject leaders to further inter-disciplinary teaching and learning and vertical coordination

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Education, or

Employment Package:

  • Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience. We will offer an attractive benefits package including medical, life, professional development & continuing  education and transportation to the right candidate.
  • With six years of relevant teaching experience, undergraduate / postgraduate training in education, and a master’s degree, you would earn around HK$57,610 per month (HK$10.8 = 1 UK Pound), as well as the contract completion gratuity.
  • As head of department, or head of year, you could earn an additional HK$1,500 – HK$14,000 a month as responsibility allowance.
  • We offer a two-year contract with a gratuity of 15% of base salary, paid on successful completion of the contract.

Learn to Swim Instructor (Ref: CCA-LSI/20180528_isf)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver hands on instruction of the Aquatic Program at The ISF Academy;
  • Maintain flow and continuity of all lessons, ensuring correct and accurate technique is taught and lessons achieve positive results;
  • Ensure swim areas are set up before each lesson and maintain the tidiness after the coaching session, lesson plans are followed and lesson attendance is accurately recorded;
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans and show initiative in improving lesson plans;
  • Take an active role in promoting the Aquatic Program to the ISF community.
Requirements:
  • Possess a valid HKASA swimming instructor certification or equivalent from an internationally recognized association;

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and provision of technical development and support of applications that comprise the school’s EdTech systems, including Moodle
  • Support integration of internal EdTech systems and platforms with external platforms
  • Design and deliver systems, in conjunction with the Head of EdTech, Head of Primary ICT, Academic Performance staff, HoS, GLLs and Head of IT that facilitate the construction of a holistic educational digital profile of student growth and development

Job Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for leading finance and accounting system projects and driving process efficiency within the school
  • Leading in system enhancement project, provide user requirements, review and comment on account mapping and related UAT result where necessary
  • Work closely with IT team, lead and manage solution design, process design, testing and implementation of identified processes and / or systems
  • Review accounting and business processes for the business units to identify areas of improvements and implementation of new systems

Requirements:

Major Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the sourcing and procurement of all materials, supplies, service, equipment, and furniture etc. for the fund raising project and school event.
  • Coordinate with user department to ensure all procured goods and services are fit for use and delivered on time.
  • Assist in supplier/pricing evaluation and recommendation, tendering process, purchase management, delivery expediting, and inventory control etc.
  • Responsible for purchase order and receipts data entry, delivery coordination, distribution and inventory tracking etc.

Requirements:

Senior Officer / Officer – Communications and Community Office (Ref: C&C/SO_O/20180627_isf)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Communications and contribute to the overall strategy goals of the office e.g. school events, outreach programs, publication, translation and other new initiatives etc.
  • Assist in coordinating, drafting, translating and/or proof-reading school publications and marketing / media materials 
  • Manage information folders for parents on the Portal/PowerSchool
  • Assist in drafting, updating, uploading circular items and school events information on the portal calendar

Social and Emotional Learning Coordinator (Ref: LST/SELC/20180321_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education/Psychology or other relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of educational experience in working with students; instructional and school leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in the field of social and emotional learning (or related experience)
  • Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills with high social and emotional competence demonstrated in workplace
  • Experience in training adult learners preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English communication (both written and verbal) preferred

The appointee will report to the Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support Team (LST). The appointee is expected to coordinate an evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum with aligned scope and sequence across whole school. The appointee is responsible for cultivating a safe, caring and positive learning environment for students and engaging effectively a variety of stakeholders. The appointee provides leadership and training for implementation of the SEL curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Promote school image and student recruitment
  • Arrange and conduct school tours and other admissions events
  • Handle all admissions enquiries, applications and related matters
  • Monitor and manage information pertaining to admissions applications
  • Manage operations of admissions assessments

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, preferably in business administration
  • Minimum of two years working experience, preferably in a school setting
