Responsibilities:

We are looking for qualified teachers to join our short-term teacher list who can work for 2 to 3 months for Primary School.  Short-term teachers need to be enthusiastic and are required to provide cover in the absence of the regular teacher in the event of maternity leave.

Teaching Intern – Music (Band/Choral/General) (Ref: TI-Music/20181128_isf)

The ISF Academy offers a one-year teaching internship to graduates with a music concentration, who wish to explore teaching as a possible career option.  Teaching Interns are expected to undertake duties, as assigned by the school, during the normal hours of school operations (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday) and may also be asked to support weekend and holiday extension programs, programs of experiential learning, student clubs, local and international excursions, and other formal school events held out of school hours.

The internship program has the following expected outcomes:

  • Encourage and facilitate exceptional graduates to select teaching as a lifetime vocation;
  • Enrich the learning experiences of ISF students in key areas of study;
  • Enrich ISF student knowledge of specific courses and institutions of tertiary learning; and

Administration and Support Staff

 

Administrative Assistant – Co-Curricular Activities Department (Ref: CCA/AA/20190306_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in the daily operation on department activities, and coordinate with faculties and teaching staff.
  • Perform counter service and handle telephone enquiries with a high level of professionalism.
  • Render English-Chinese written translation duties.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, email responses, logistics on local and international travel arrangements.
  • Perform any other administrative duties as required.

Working Hours:

Every Monday to Friday: from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.

Admissions Manager (Ref: AO/AM/20181203_isf)

The Admissions Office handles all admissions applications, enquiries, and related matters for both the Primary and Secondary Divisions. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate resources in admissions to ensure admissions processes can be carried out efficiently
  • Manage and enhance the online admissions, assessment, enrollment and registration systems
  • Produce admissions statistics for tracking application trend and status
  • Responsible for scheduling and executing the admissions calendar of activities including admissions application periods, briefing sessions, school tours, assessment activities, and registration events
  • Coordinate with external service providers to continuously enhance the online admissions systems
  • Provide admissions consultation and answer enquiries from prospective parents
  • Supervise admissions staff and ensure high quality admissions services are provided

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in a kindergarten or school; experience in more than one kindergarten / school would be an added advantage
  • Work experience in both Mandarin and English speaking contexts preferred
  • Fluent and literate in English and Chinese, including Mandarin

Facilities Management – Project Manager (Ref:FMO/PM/20181128_isf)

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project works, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the facilities are operated efficiently in accordance with the statutory requirements and to conduct the following tasks independently and diligently: 
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Projects & Facilities Management and contribute to the overall strategy goals of the office
  • Prepare design and development proposals, including scope of capital works, major repair & maintenance works, and addition, alteration & improvement project
  • Liaise with government departments and consultants (if any) in matters relating to these campus projects
  • Prepare tender and analysis reports with recommendations to various committees/authorities for the approval
  • Conduct site visits when necessary and monitor site performance to ensure meeting the required standards until the completion of the works
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards of the campus
  • Prepare annual capital and operational budgets
  • Any other assignments assigned by the Head of Projects & Facilities Management
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Building related discipline

Guidance Counselor (1-Year Contract) (Ref:LST/GC/20181008_isf)

 

The appointee will report to the Director of Learning Support and will work within a multi-disciplinary Learning Support Team (LST). The appointee is expected to provide school-based counseling support for students on individual as well as group basis, work closely with parents and teachers, implement student well-being programs, collaborate with different teaching and pastoral teams whenever appropriate to ensure students’ diverse needs are met holistically.   

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work or other relevant discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of relevant counseling experience in working with children and adolescents
  • Experience in bilingual school setting preferred
  • Experience in leading student well-being programs/projects
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese with strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, case work and group work skills

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff members, students and parents of the Academy.
  • Provide support of hardware, classroom IT facilities, software, network, e-mail, office applications and educational software.
  • Assist in the organizing and running of any IT related activities.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software systems, network equipment and printers.
  • Repair equipment and replace parts.
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults.
Requirements:
  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of OS X and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (both Windows and Mac environment).
  • Knowledge of administering users and computers via Active Directory.
  • Good team player, self-motivated, mature and able to work independently.

  • Provide clerical support to School Librarians.
  • Receive and prepare resources and materials.
  • Assist in cataloging and the maintenance of bibliographic records and user records.

  • Take care students in library during lunch, break and after school times.

Makerspace/Science Lab Technician – Primary School (Ref: SY/MLT/20190417_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate the use of resources and facilities, and provide advice in the practical areas of need.
  • To set up the primary makerspace for student use, keep equipment and materials safe and in good working order.
  • To assist the Guided Discovery team, and Makerspace educator with materials purchases and setup of spaces.
  • Coordinate closely with primary school faculty associated with their professional development and curriculum requirements.
  • To ensure the availability of suitable materials and equipment, helping to compile orders and liaising or negotiating with suppliers and finance departments.
  • To work with outside organizations as required.
  • To offer administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.
  • To maintain and promote a healthy, safe and efficient working environment for all members of the ISF community.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree is desired
  • With technical experience in a K-12 setting.
  • Ability to optimise novel protocols for Shuyuan programs and courses
  • Comfortable to learn how to use technologies including 3-D printers, laser cutters, other digital fabrication tools
  • Strong IT and procurement tools
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented with high initiative

Primary Arts Technician for Visual Art, Drama and Music (Ref:PRI/TECH/20190305_isf)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance in setting up before class and organize student equipment after lessons
  • Draw up and maintain inventory of equipment; maintain resources and keep record of stocks, and to liaise with teachers for ordering needs
  • Check students’ timetables and liaise with class teachers for the day’s lessons and needs
  • Arrange regular safety inspections of machinery and equipment
  • Ensure students’ work and unused materials are returned to appropriate storage area, and ensure each teaching area is locked and secured when not in use
  • Re-organisation and storage of new equipment and materials for the following academic year
  • Provide assistance with all Arts events (before, during and after events). 
  • Collaborate with Visual Art, Drama and Music departments.
  • Co-ordinate with administrative staff and facilities management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Arts, Building or Carpentry or related subjects awarded by a professional institute
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience preferably in education environment
  • Sound working knowledge of arts equipment and their storage needs
  • Art-based training would be an added advantage
  • Be IT literate and competent in using google drive / calendar
  • Able to meet tight deadline, well organized and independent
  • Good command of spoken and written English.  Command of Chinese would be an asset.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing the vision, mission, and core values of The ISF Pre-School;
  • Promote and maintain Pre-School’s unique ethos, culture, and image;
  • Work closely with Principal and Deputy Principal of the Pre-School to lead effective teams to ensure the successful implementation of the school’s development plans;
  • Promote the health, safety and well-being of all students;
  • Support teaching and learning for students across the Pre-School;
  • Support the bilingual and bicultural character of ISF Pre-School through bilingual communication practices, both internally and externally;

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration team to provide full spectrum of high quality administrative and customer services to ensure cost efficient operation, including effective communication with parents, maintenance of student and staff records; provision of quality resources, facilities management, employee relations, etc.;
  • Work closely with the principals to promote the Pre-School’s unique ethos, culture, and image;
  • Ensure the school exceeds the standards and legal requirements set by the Education Bureau and other relevant governing bodies;
  • Coordinate the organization of admissions events and co-curricular activities;
  • Support the management of the principal’s schedule and the school calendar;
  • Manage administrative staff performance and appraisal;
  • Review, revise and update promotional materials, school policies and administrative documents for the Pre-School; and
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Principal of Pre-School.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience, experience in school settings preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills, with good communication and negotiation techniques;
  • Work independently, multi-tasking, organized and accountable;
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • First aid certified; and
  • Proficient in computer use of MS Word, Excel & Chinese Word Processing.
