Chinese Teacher – Primary School (Ref: PRI/TCHIT/20200110_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional qualifications in education.
  • Proficient in Chinese; Putonghua proficiency test at least level 2A
  • IB trainer/knowledge/experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous
  • Strong IT and curriculum development skills will be regarded favorably

Head of Aquatics (Ref: CCA/HA/20200106_isf)

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head of Aquatics will be responsible for the strategic planning and vision of the aquatic program as well as coaching all school competitive swim teams at The ISF Academy.  He/She will develop and execute all Primary and Secondary aquatic activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the aquatic vision for The ISF Academy
  • Create a long term strategy for aquatics and successfully achieve short, medium and long term objectives for aquatics
  • Monitor and improve existing programs, develop and implement new courses and curricula
  • Monitor the performance of aquatic staff and ensure course content, methodology and practices are in line with philosophy of ISF
  • Oversee the running of the activities, including managing the scheduling of, and enrolment into, classes and assignment of teaching staff and provider  

Requirements:

  • Possess a tertiary qualification
  • At least 10 years experience in leading an aquatics program that includes infant, learn to swim and competitive elements
  • Possess a current HKASA swimming instructor certification or equivalent from an internationally recognized association
  • Possess at least a ASCTA Silver License or ASCA Level 4 certification or equivalent
  • Have experience in teaching athletes of national youth level
  • Possess a HK Life Saving Society Bronze Medallion or equivalent from an internationally recognized association
  • Possess a current first aid and CPR certificate
  • Fluency in English and/or Mandarin essential
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent command of HyTek, Microsoft office and Google docs

Learning Support Teacher (Ref: SENT/20200115_isf)

The successful candidate is expected to provide guidance and support to identified students in areas of inclusion and learning diversity in achieving the best possible learning outcomes.  Learning diversity refers to different learning needs of students that require holistic support and enrichment so that every student can thrive and achieve excellence.  Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure students with special learning needs receive a balanced curriculum through early intervention, bridging programs and differentiated classroom delivery in an inquiry based environment
  • Regularly evaluate teaching, learning and student outcomes and to monitor the progress of these special learning needs’ students
  • Develop students’ independent learning skills and self esteems
  • work in close collaboration with parents through conducting regular meetings to report on students’ progress and to share information and support strategies
  • Ensure appropriate records are kept on individual students receiving support
  • Plan and engage in professional learning activities that support school and systematic priorities

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Education or related special education field
  • Patient and passionate about educating children
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience; relevant knowledge and experience teaching students with special education learning needs is highly preferred  
  • Sufficient knowledge, expertise and awareness of students’ social, emotional and learning needs is highly preferred
  • Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or Education
  • Experience teaching Music in Upper Primary (Grades 3 to 5) is advantageous

Temporary Learning Support Shadow Teacher 助理學習支援老師 (Primary, Full-time from January to June 2020) (Ref: PRI/LST/20191223_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • The Learning Support Teacher is to support an individual Primary School student in class and during non‐structured times at school. He/She has to work closely with the student’s teachers, parents and Learning Support Team (LST) to implement the individualized support plan.
  • Build strong rapport and positive relationship with the identified student
  • Help or teach the student to communicate his/her emotions and needs using appropriate means
  • Support class teachers in the implementation of differentiated learning and support strategies
  • Work in partnership with teachers and LST to implement aspects of learning plans for the student
  • Communicate regularly with Assistant Principal Primary, LST and teachers, and also with parents
  • Document the students’ progress clearly and participate in the case review actively making suggestions
  • Respect confidentiality and be diligent on the information sharing or release when working with different people
  • Attend case conference and meetings as required, and actively seek in house Professional Development or professional learning opportunities in the field of learning diversity

Requirements:

  • Possess strong teaching capabilities with some knowledge of students with learning diversity
  • Understand the ISF Primary curriculum and learning programs well
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to relate well with the student, teachers and parents
  • Demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability to sensibly adjust the intensity of support required in class

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all-round receptionist duties including greeting visitors, answering general enquiries, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the core functions of the Foundation Secretariat Office
  • Perform daily operation of the department and coordinate with different parties
  • Respond to incoming telephone and email enquiries
  • Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Foundation Secretary and his/her delegates

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder or above with minimum 5 years' front desk and office administration experience
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Pleasant, good working attitude and a team player
  • Detail-minded, well-organized and able to prioritize work

Assistant Human Resources Manager / Senior Human Resources Officer (HRIS and C&B) (Ref: HR/HRO/20200109_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the HR Manager and is responsible for all-rounded C&B functions, including payroll, taxation, leave management, final payment, MPF contributions, employee’s compensation etc
  • Involve in annual C&B exercises, medical plan and insurance renewals, benchmark benefit and salary surveys to keep abreast of market practices
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of HRIS and also responsible for the daily administration of HRIS
  • Assist in any ad-hoc projects and events when assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in human resources management with hands-on experience in compensation and benefits (including payroll) in multinational companies
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS
  • Strong analytical skills and good numerical sense
  • A good team player with good communication & interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated

Chinese Editor (Ref: C&C/M/20191224_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director of Operations / Head of Communications and Community in formulating and executing the communications strategy for ISF, e.g. community engagement, events, media and branding
  • Proof-read, edit, write and/or translate (from English to Chinese) school publications including weekly circulars, handbooks, school profile, newsletters, school websites, social medias and school notices etc.
  • Manage and update the Chinese contents on school website and social medias
  • Liaise with internal counterparts as well as academic Chinese sectors in Shuyuan, Secondary, Primary and Pre-school.
  • Support simultaneous translation from English into Mandarin in school events, conferences and parents meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Chinese Language and Literature, Translation or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Chinese translation and editing, preferably in the education sector
  • Strong academic background in Chinese studies and culture
  • High proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese (including Mandarin); good command in written and spoken English
  • A self-motivated team player and can work independently
  • Meticulous, detailed-oriented, with high initiative

Library Assistant (Ref: SEC/LA/20191202_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides exemplary customer service while working at checkout desk or as backup
  • Categorize and classify library materials, including books, CDs, films, newspapers, or other documents
  • Follow library standards and guidelines when classifying documents
  • Import bibliographic records from an external database of bibliographic records to internal library database
  • Researches records and makes updates as needed
  • Creates original records as required
  • Inputs data about materials into electronic catalogue to ensure users can locate books, serials, films, or other document
  • Ensure all material can be retrieved conveniently using standardized method
  • Consult with colleagues on improving cataloging process
  • Assist the Library Officer to work alongside subject specialists in developing the resources list for student and staff
  • Assists students, staff and parents with technology questions, locating materials and general library use
  • Determine appropriate treatments for series or multipart items
  • Assist the Library Officer to Organize large backlogs of materials
  • Organize materials according to highest priority
  • Assist in maintaining parts of the catalogue that pertain to collections under specific jurisdiction; Shuyuan, Chinese Cultural Centre, Archives

Requirements:

  • Holder of the Certificate of Library Assistant (or equivalent)
  • Work experience in a school library environment
  • Good knowledge of Chinese and English word processing, library information systems and other office software applications, e.g. Publisher
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Able to work independently, effective organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle administrative duties such as filing, clerical tasks and maintain employee data in the HRIS
  • Facilitate the applications of work visa

  • Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education;
  • Registered Kindergarten Teacher and Child Care Worker with the Education Bureau in Hong Kong;

  • Minimum of 4 years teaching experience with pre-school aged children;
