Physics Teacher – Secondary School (IB MYP / DP)  (Ref: PHYT/20191203_isf)

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional qualifications in education
  • Solid experience in teaching across Grades 6 to 10 students is required
  • Extensive knowledge in and experience of teaching Physics at IB DP
  • Experience of IB MYP is preferred.
  • Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous
  • Strong IT and curriculum development skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or Education
  • Experience teaching Music in Upper Primary (Grades 3 to 5) is advantageous
  • Experience in band and orchestra is highly preferred

Administrative and Front Desk Officer (Ref: FS/ADFO/20190722_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all-round receptionist duties including greeting visitors, answering general enquiries, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the core functions of the Foundation Secretariat Office
  • Perform daily operation of the department and coordinate with different parties
  • Respond to incoming telephone and email enquiries
  • Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Foundation Secretary and his/her delegates

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder or above with minimum 5 years' front desk and office administration experience
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Pleasant, good working attitude and a team player
  • Detail-minded, well-organized and able to prioritize work
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese word processing

Library Assistant (Ref: SEC/LA/20191202_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides exemplary customer service while working at checkout desk or as backup
  • Categorize and classify library materials, including books, CDs, films, newspapers, or other documents
  • Follow library standards and guidelines when classifying documents
  • Import bibliographic records from an external database of bibliographic records to internal library database
  • Researches records and makes updates as needed
  • Creates original records as required
  • Inputs data about materials into electronic catalogue to ensure users can locate books, serials, films, or other document
  • Ensure all material can be retrieved conveniently using standardized method
  • Consult with colleagues on improving cataloging process
  • Assist the Library Officer to work alongside subject specialists in developing the resources list for student and staff
  • Assists students, staff and parents with technology questions, locating materials and general library use
  • Determine appropriate treatments for series or multipart items
  • Assist the Library Officer to Organize large backlogs of materials
  • Organize materials according to highest priority
  • Assist in maintaining parts of the catalogue that pertain to collections under specific jurisdiction; Shuyuan, Chinese Cultural Centre, Archives
  • Report regularly to Library Officer and the Head Librarian Secondary
  • Conduct complex research that creates imaginative and inspiring library resources and displays
  • Any other duties as required by ISF Secondary

Requirements:

  • Holder of the Certificate of Library Assistant (or equivalent)
  • Work experience in a school library environment
  • Good knowledge of Chinese and English word processing, library information systems and other office software applications, e.g. Publisher
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Able to work independently, effective organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Provides exemplary customer service in Library at all times

Manager – Communications and Community Office (Ref: C&C/M/20191106_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective outreach and pro-active engagement programs and school-led workshops for parents & other stakeholders
  • Handle and resolve parents and other stakeholders’ enquiries and issues as appropriate
  • Help the school to establish effective community partnerships with parents and other stakeholders
  • Manage operational, administrative and communicational functions to ensure specific projects are planned and delivered efficiently on time, within budget, and that meet or exceed project goals. e.g. graduation ceremonies, admissions briefings, community events
  • Oversee the preparation of communications materials. Communicating, maintaining and developing internal and external client/ supplier relationships
  • Handle special events related to brand enhancement; assist in the execution of brand refresh recommendations by brand consultants
  • Organize roadshows to network with young professionals associations and university staff associations for Greenwood Program and financial aid publicity
  • Proof-read, edit, write and/or translate (in English and Chinese) school publications and promotional materials, e.g. weekly circulars, handbooks, school profile, Student Achievement booklet, school notices
  • Assist the Head of Communications in formulating and executing the communications strategy for ISF

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Marketing
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably in the education sector
  • Experience in handling English/Chinese/English translations
  • With media related network and experience in writing newsletters an advantage
  • Solid experience in project/event management and project communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • A self-motivated team player
  • Meticulous, detailed-oriented, with high initiative

Executive Assistant to Director of Operations (Ref: PA/20191112_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial, executive and personal support to the Director of Operations in all aspects for his/her official and work responsibilities.
  • Manage the calendar and arrange daily appointments, meeting schedules and travel arrangements for the Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate projects, events and meetings with both internal and external parties.
  • Draft correspondences and minutes of meetings.
  • Maintain a fully confidential and efficient filing system both electronically and manually.
  • Handle ad-hoc and any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree preferably in Business Administration; or graduate of a formal post-secondary secretarial diploma.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in serving senior executives.
  • Mature, well-organized, an independent problem solver and can work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint, including Chinese word processing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in definition, design, testing and implementation, and rollout phases of solution and development projects
  • Participate in program development using the relevant software development tools
  • Prepare system and operation procedural documentation
  • Provide support for system implementation and production incidents

Requirements:

  • Relevant education background in either Information System, Information Technology or Computer Science disciplines
  • Relevant experience of software development tools in Object Oriental Programming Languages or Scripts
  • Experience of using Database Programming tools, SQL, Java, PHP are preferred
  • Good communication skill
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant discipline

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education;
  • Registered Kindergarten Teacher and Child Care Worker with the Education Bureau in Hong Kong;
  • Native fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Patient and passionate about educating young children;
  • Minimum of 4 years teaching experience with pre-school aged children;
  • Knowledge and experience in inquiry based teaching and learning; 
  • Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous;
  • A good team player who also works well independently; and
  • Strong computer and curriculum development skills.

Commencement Date:

  • At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a school setting;

  • Well-organized, detail-minded, conscientious and able to prioritize work;
