Benchtop techniques such as functional assays and the extraction of proteins and nucleic acids are combined with analysis using a wide range of bioinformatics tools.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;]<style text=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2  class=\"isf_custom_heading underline\" style=\"text-align:left;\">Job Responsibilities<\/h2>[vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist teachers in the training and supervision of students in performing a wide variety of laboratory techniques;<\/li>\n<li>Assist teachers in planning, testing and conducting science experiments and other science-related activities;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and manage science-related materials\/resources, including those related to data-management systems and on-line analytical tools;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, construct, operate and maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment, and help to establish experimental protocols;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the purchasing and monitoring of laboratory consumables, equipment and other necessary items, including record-keeping and annual stocktaking;<\/li>\n<li>Organise servicing, trouble-shooting and maintenance of equipment and resources, as required; and<\/li>\n<li>Observe and support safe laboratory systems and practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]<style text=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2  class=\"isf_custom_heading underline\" style=\"text-align:left;\">Requirements<\/h2>[\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology or related discipline;<\/li>\n<li>With at least 3 years of relevant experience;<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0knowledge of bioinformatics and\/or programming will be an advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Be resourceful and able to work independently and also a good team player;<\/li>\n<li>Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin);
