Who would&#8217;ve thought that the foreign faces at 1 Kong Sin Wan Road would become the people I know the best&#8230; I hardly felt the years go by, but wandering through primary school classrooms after school, I was struck by how much smaller everything was, suspended in time as we have grown taller after every summer. And with the place comes the people &#8211; children in the playground became classmates and &#8216;study-buddies&#8217;, who eventually found themselves sharing poems, book recommendations, and eclectic tastes in music. And suddenly I find myself amongst friends I&#8217;ve known for a lifetime. At the end of it all, we face the strange monster: IBDP, two grueling years that break you apart in the name of rebuilding your thinking, writing, and speaking skills. In reality, it did more than just that. It solidified our camaraderie with shared deadlines, matching dark circles, and the futile but cathartic ranting sessions.
