Students also have access to individual instrumental lessons as part of our Music Academy.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Music Technician <\/strong>plays a pivotal role in maintaining this standard of excellence and aspiration for our students to develop their musical gifts both in and out of the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>The music technician provides technical and administrative support to the Music Department to ensure the smooth preparation and delivery of lessons and performance-related activities. The role supports the maintenance of music classrooms, equipment and materials, enabling a safe, organized and effective learning environment for students and staff.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]<style text=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2  class=\"isf_custom_heading underline\" style=\"text-align:left;\">Responsibilities<\/h2>[\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare musical materials and equipment before lessons and clear up after classes;<\/li>\n<li>Assist teachers and students in the safe use of musical equipment and facilities;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain inventory records of instruments, music materials, tools and equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Organize storage areas and ensure materials are properly labelled and accessible;<\/li>\n<li>Upkeep and maintenance of classroom instruments (e.g. Replacing strings\/reeds on instruments \/ Setup of guitars Oiling valves in brass instruments etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Setup for classes and performances (e.g. Drum circles etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating equipment, set up and tear down for all music performances including live sound for performances;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinator of the ISF Music Technical Team (students) &#8211; setup and operate sound gear for school events;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with Auditorium Manager all logistics for Music Department music showcases;<\/li>\n<li>Support general departmental duties and collaborate with other Secondary Technicians when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]<style text=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2  class=\"isf_custom_heading underline\" style=\"text-align:left;\">Requirements<\/h2>[\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma or above in Music, or a related discipline;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 relevant working experience, preferably in a school or educational environment;<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of music technology, tools and equipment handling;<\/li>\n<li>Interested in supporting students in a practical learning environment;<\/li>\n<li>Able to work well with students and colleagues;<\/li>\n<li>Well organized, responsible and attentive to safety;<\/li>\n<li>A good team player with a positive and helpful attitude;<\/li>\n<li>IT literate and able to use Google Drive \/ Calendar and basic office applications;<\/li>\n<li>Good command of spoken and written English;
