Learning is evident when students enthusiastically discuss and debate issues, express themselves freely and demonstrate intellectual curiosity. Therefore learning is best done in groups through collaboration with other individuals.<\/p>\n<p>To generate this kind of learning, teaching methods need to cultivate the joy of learning and develop within the student the social, creative, communication and critical thinking skills necessary to achieve success in an ever-competitive and changing world. This means asking questions, taking risks, and not being afraid of making mistakes. Our students learn to learn.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;]<style text=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2  class=\"isf_custom_heading underline\" style=\"text-align:left;\">Bilingual Immersion<\/h2>[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Academy\u2019s bilingual program actively supports bilingualism and biculturalism in its students. Immersion instruction in two languages and the promotion of positive cross-cultural attitudes aim to achieve this, as demonstrated by our high levels of academic achievement.<\/p>\n<p>In the primary grades, a greater percentage of instructional time is spent in Chinese (Putonghua) so that students gain a solid Chinese language foundation. Sustainability is explored through various channels in the Primary Curriculum such as Project Day, Guided Discovery and other Co-Curricular Activities.\u00a0A unique aspect provided to them is the sustainability-related data sets prepared by the\u00a0<em>Shuyuan<\/em>\u00a0Department for which the data is taken from our very own campus.
