Learn to Swim Instructors (2 Positions) – 1 Year Contract and 6 Months Contract

(Ref: CCA/LSI/20210602_isf)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands on instruction of the Aquatic Program at The ISF Academy;
  • Maintain flow and continuity of all lessons, ensuring correct and accurate technique is taught and lessons achieve positive results;
  • Ensure swim areas are set up before each lesson and maintain the tidiness after the coaching session, lesson plans are followed and lesson attendance is accurately recorded;
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans and show initiative in improving lesson plans; and

Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in assisting teaching aquatics including infant, learning to swim and competitive elements;
  • Possess a valid HKASA swimming instructor certification or equivalent from an internationally recognized association;
  • Possess a Hong Kong Life Saving Society Bronze Medallion or equivalent from an internationally recognized association;
  • Possess a valid first aid and CPR certificate;
  • Native English and/or Chinese (Mandarin) language would be an advantage; and
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent command of Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

Education Technology System Developer (Ref: ET/ETSA/20210622_isf)

​Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and provision of technical development and support of applications that comprise the school’s EdTech systems, including Moodle;
  • Support integration of internal EdTech systems and platforms with external platforms;
  • Design and deliver systems, in conjunction with the Head of EdTech, Head of Primary ICT, Academic Performance staff, HoS, GLLs and Head of IT that facilitate the construction of a holistic educational digital profile of student growth and development;
  • Promote the ongoing utilization of existing platforms as aligned with the school’s mission and vision and Educational Technology strategic implementation plans;
  • Collaborate with divisional stakeholders to determine the effective use of online platforms and determine additional needs or areas for improvement;
  • Participate in all aspects of application/platform development life cycle;
  • Create clear and accurate technical documentation;
  • Hands-on design, develop and debug of systems;
  • Ensure accurate system updates and data sharing; and
  • Support the uploading and embedding of multimedia content on EdTech systems and platforms.
  • Responsible for administering, maintaining, testing and implementing updates for Moodle and MySQL database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • 5+ years of development experience;
  • Experience in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, SQL;
  • Experience working with web APIs;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English. Written and spoken Chinese, including Mandarin, is a bonus;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative work environment;
  • Experience working with version control systems (preferably Git);
  • Experience with the integration (linking) of different platforms;
  • Good problem-solving skills; and
  • A self-starter and self-motivated autonomous worker with effective time management abilities.

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience working with or developing for Moodle or another LMS platform;
  • Experience working with LAMP stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP;
  • Experience working with web SOAP, REST or XML;

Administrative Assistant – Co-Curricular Activities Department (Ref: CCA/AA/20210518_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in the daily operation on department activities, and coordinate with faculties and teaching staff;
  • Perform counter service and handle telephone enquiries with a high level of professionalism;
  • Render English-Chinese written translation duties;
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, email responses, logistics on local and international travel arrangements; and
  • Perform any other administrative duties as required.

Working Hours:

  • 45 hours working week from Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 1 year of work experience;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin;
  • Able to work independently, organized with good interpersonal skills and meet Deadlines;
  • Expertise in Google docs; and
  • Proficient in Chinese and English word processing, and should possess knowledge and skills in graphics design and other office software applications.

Administrative Officer – Secondary Office (Ref: SEC/AO/20210616_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • First contact point for the Secondary Office at the reception counter;
  • Provide full operation support to the Front Desk at Secondary Office from 07:30 – 16:30 and 08:30 – 17:30 on rotating shift;
  • Provide administrative, operational and logistical support to Secondary faculty members;
  • Utilize school systems’ data producing reports and lists;
  • Support school-wide and grade level events;
  • Support school-wide operational needs;
  • Ability to provide written & verbal translation (English / Chinese); and
  • Undertake other duties as required by the Office Manager and Secondary Leadership Team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor with a minimum 3 years / Sub-degree degree or Diploma holder with a minimum 4 years of administration and customer service experience, preferably in school setting;
  • Tri-lingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese);
  • Logical thinking with good administrative, operation and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent PC skills (e.g. MS Office Suite, Chinese Character Input) especially in Excel and Google suite;
  • Pleasant manner with good communication & interpersonal skills are essential;
  • Able to prioritize work. Willing to take initiatives and proactive taking up ad hoc tasks;
  • Able to work independently and also a team player;
  • Require to multi-tasks in a stressful and constantly busy environment. Overtime work may require where essential; and
  • Discreet and sensitive to confidential matters is required.

Laboratory Technician II / III (Ref: SEC/LT/20201027_isf)

In the Faculty of Science at The ISF Academy, the Technicians are known as the ‘heart of house’.  They are an integral part of the teaching and learning that happens in classrooms.  Apart from preparing and maintaining the physical apparatus that supports the practical learning, technicians also participate in curriculum planning meetings, working directly with teachers to optimise teaching and learning. 

We are looking for 2 dynamic individuals to join a growing team of technicians as The ISF Academy continues to provide the best science Education in Hong Kong.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team-leader / Senior Laboratory Technician in coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities;
  • Provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Science Faculty;
  • Ensure the availability of suitable materials and equipment by compiling orders and liaising or negotiating with suppliers and finance office;
  • Keep up-to-date stock records;
  • Maintain the required standard of both routine and non-routine checking, cleaning, maintenance, calibration, testing and repairing of equipment; and
  • Collect, check and return equipment to stores.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Science or related discipline;
  • With 1 to 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Certificate for Laboratory Technicians is an asset, but not essential;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin);
  • Proficient in PC skills (e.g. MS Office Suite, Chinese Character Input); and
  • Able to work independently and also a team player.

School Nurse (Ref: LST/SN/20210602_isf)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of Medical Room in order to provide professional, immediate and appropriate medical support to the students and staff of the school;
  • Promote and protect the optimal health status of students;
  • Develop health and safety standard protocols and procedures;
  • Monitor the health status of the school population;
  • Promote and assist in control of communicable disease through preventative measures, early detection, surveillance and reporting of contagious Diseases;
  • Provide health education to students, faculty and non-faculty members in both individual and group settings;
  • Respond to the needs of students reporting sick, prioritise and deal with them as appropriate, including carrying out necessary first aid care and medical treatment;
  • Make arrangements to contact parents/ sending home/ hospitalisation, where necessary;
  • Liaise with class teacher, year group teachers, tutors and senior leaders on health problems with students;
  • Maintain records of all visits to Medical Room and complete accident forms and reports as appropriate;
  • Provide first aid training for faculty and staff regularly and ensure adequate and appropriate first aid stock in medical room and classroom supplies, such as contents and display etc.; and
  • Provide medical cover for school events and trips where required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder in Nursing; registered with the Hong Kong Nursing Board preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years school nurse experience; relevant training in paediatrics and child health would be advantageous;
  • Able to perform routine medical procedures and first aid treatment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good command of both written and spoken English, proficient in Chinese (including Mandarin) is preferred; and
  • Caring, organized, patient, responsible, self-motivated, able to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • To support with the preparation of materials and equipment for lessons in Art, Design and Technology (key areas of study include Fine Art, 3D Design, Photography, Digital Design and Manufacturing and Food Technology);
  • To set up the primary makerspace for student use, keep equipment and materials safe and in good working order;
  • To be responsible for maintenance of machinery and tools throughout the year so they meet the basic Health & Safety expectations;
  • Coordinate closely with primary school faculty associated with their professional development and curriculum requirements;
  • To ensure the availability of suitable materials and equipment, helping to compile orders and liaising or negotiating with suppliers and finance departments;
  • To work with outside organizations as required;
  • To offer administrative support and perform other duties as assigned; and
  • To maintain and promote a healthy, safe and efficient working environment for all members of the ISF community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in graphic or product design, is desired;
  • Comfortable to learn how to use technologies including 3-D printers, laser cutters, other digital fabrication tools;
  • Technical experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred;
  • Strong IT and procurement tools;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin); and
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented with high initiative.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative support to The Admissions Office
  • Assist in processing new applications and verifying documents
  • Assist with the preparation of Primary and Secondary admissions assessments  
  • Assist with preparing documentations and materials for new students
  • Enter and update applicants’ and students’ data on the school system
  • Support Admissions events, such as briefing sessions or schools tours, for prospective parents
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required

Service Period:

  • From mid-June 2021 to mid-December 2021
  • 5 days a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm

Requirements:

  • Degree or above

We are looking for qualified teacher to join our supply teacher list for The ISF Pre-School.  Supply teacher is required to provide cover in the absence of the regular teacher.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Certificate in Early Childhood Education
  • Registered Teacher in Hong Kong
