To think that my first time walking through the ISF gates as a foundation year student was 13 years ago is truly unbelievable. Now, I stand at the same gates on the brink of graduation as grade 12 student. Reflecting upon my time at this school, I realise how much I experienced and learned. It was a truly unforgettable journey, creating memories that I will carry with me forever. ISF has taught me so much, both inside and outside the classroom. Besides communication and time management skills, I learned to persevere through hardships, problem solve independently, and tackle issues from multiple perspectives, becoming more intrinsically motivated, disciplined, and empathetic.

I am forever grateful towards my friends and teachers who patiently guided and supported me throughout my time at ISF. As a cohort, we have all come so far from where we began, growing together through challenges and triumphs. In particular, the service ELPs to Chiang Mai, Thailand and Luang Prabang, Laos have not only allowed me to gain a variety of new skills and greater global awareness, but have also given me friendships I will hold close to my heart and cherish forever.

Another unforgettable component of ISF is Wushu. Having been part of the Wushu team for over 9 years, it has undoubtedly shaped me as a person, offering me resilience, composure, patience, and the relentless drive to be better. More so, however, it has given me a sense of community I will think back to for years to come.

To the future graduating classes of ISF, I hope you continue to work hard and explore your limits. Never shy away from a challenge! Most importantly, however, cherish the time you spend with friends.

Lastly, to the class of 2025, thank you so much for the incredible adventure, and good luck in your future endeavours! I’m sure you will all do amazing things!
