“Each graduating class adds to the distinguished and diverse record of achievement at ISF, reflecting the sustained excellence of an ISF education. The Class of 2026 has excelled through enduring effort, intellectual rigor, and a clear sense of purpose throughout the challenges of the IBDP. This year, our students’ academic excellence is evident not only in their outstanding results, but also in the many breakthrough offers from the world’s most selective tertiary institutions. We are inordinately proud of the way in which our graduates have surpassed expectations, pursued excellence with integrity, supported one another with compassion, while remaining steadfast in their embodiment of ISF’s core values which have shaped each one in a unique manner. On behalf of the Academy, I offer my sincere congratulations to each member of the graduating class on their exceptional achievements, and extend my heartfelt gratitude to the ISF families and faculty members who have walked every step of the way during this most remarkable journey,” stated Dr. Malcolm Pritchard, Head of School.
Since the first IBDP cohort in 2012, ISF has maintained an impressive upward momentum in the academic attainments of each graduating class, steadily building trust and confidence in the ISF community. This year, the 101 members of the Class of 2026 continue to prove the collective academic strength fostered by an inclusive IBDP education. Most of these students commenced their education at ISF in Foundation Year, living the school’s ethos of instilling Chinese virtues, nurturing global stewardship and developing independent minds since their formative years.
An impressive 77% of the graduating class has attained the prestigious Bilingual Diploma, underscoring the school’s highly effective immersive English and Chinese learning environment. Building on this foundation, the Secondary School this year introduced a unique innovation in Chinese language proficiency assessment: the Hao Xue Shi. This ISF certification offers a truly novel approach to benchmarking Chinese language proficiency for our Grade 10 students, with a clear focus on business and professional applications of Chinese language. Completion of the Hao Xue Shi by the end of Grade 10 will grant our DP students expanded flexibility in their subject choices, adding new language options, thereby broadening the cultural and linguistic fluency of our students beyond English and Chinese.
The Class of 2026 has received 735 offers from 140 top ranked universities and tertiary institutions worldwide. This year’s notable results include multiple offers from Ivy League schools such as Brown University, Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, as well as the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Students have also secured places at other world-renowned universities, including Stanford University, Columbia University and the California Institute of Technology.
