As I reflect on the past 13 years at ISF, these formative years of my life have been truly rewarding, fulfilling and enriching. Beyond the classroom, ISF has taught me that hard work always pays off, albeit not always in the way I expect; time and effort may not guarantee results, but they will always yield learning. I have learned to be ambitious but to follow through with concrete action. ISF has instilled in me values such as dedication, resilience, commitment and accountability, making me a more reflective and perceptive person with an analytical yet empathetic outlook on the world. I have become more open-minded by learning to find value in every perspective, which I credit to the freedom to explore and discover new ideas.

I sincerely appreciate the incredible ISF community that has made me feel supported and valued throughout my time here, providing me with a nurturing yet challenging environment to maximise my personal growth.

I am especially grateful for my amazing teachers and coaches who have shaped me over the years by holding me to high standards, pushing me to be my best, while giving me the encouragement and recognition I needed to flourish.

I have relished the diverse learning opportunities, from Shuyuan research programs and academic writing to sustainability, well-being, and service. Experiences such as organising events, executing projects, participating in panel discussions and MC-ing school events have all developed my confidence, collaboration and adaptability. I am most honoured to have served as netball captain and head student, and am forever grateful for the platform that ISF has given me to grow as a leader and to realise the plethora of possibilities of who I can become as I strive to make a positive impact in the community around me.

I am thankful for how ISF’s bilingual education has helped me become international-minded while connected to my cultural roots, as I have particularly enjoyed the Chinese Classical Literature course. This balanced and holistic education has equipped me with a strong foundation of skills, knowledge, and experience that I am sure will prove applicable and relevant in the upcoming stages of my life. While I will certainly miss ISF, I am excited to move on to a new chapter and uncover what the future holds, carrying the lessons and values learned here forward with me.
