Remarkable 2021 IB Diploma Results for The ISF Academy Students

We are delighted to offer our hearty congratulations to all members of the Class of 2021 for their remarkable International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) results.

 

Head of School, Dr. Malcolm Pritchard, praised the efforts of the graduating class: “The ISF Academy commends the 60 members of the Class of 2021 for their resilience, diligence and adaptability throughout their IB DP learning journey, particularly in the face of challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2021. The entire ISF community is very proud of our 2021 graduates, the tenth cohort of IB Diploma students at the Academy, for their great efforts and impressive results. The high proportion of Bilingual Diploma earners – 76% – also demonstrates our students’ extraordinary linguistic skills in mastering both Chinese and English through our unique curriculum, which imbues a deep appreciation for Chinese culture and other civilizations. We wish them every success in their future endeavors!”

 

The highlights and amended grades following successful appeal are summarized as follows:

  • 100% pass rate
  • Average diploma score of The ISF Academy candidates is 40.2 points
  • 9 students scored 45 (15%)
  • 13 students scored 44 or 43 points
  • 38 students scored 40 points or higher (64%)
  • 76% students received the Bilingual Diploma
  • Average subject score 6.3
  • Average core points score 2.5

 

As a non-selective school in which most of our students commenced their education at The ISF Academy, these amended scores truly reflect the ability and effort from this extraordinary Class of 2021. Our University Guidance and Counseling Team will work with our graduates closely on their university of choice regarding their amended IB DP outcomes.

 

The graduates will continue their learning at the world’s most prestigious and selective universities. To date, members of the Class of 2021 have received 409 offers from 117 universities and colleges around the world, a large proportion of which are among the top 100 global universities, including: University of California, University of Pennsylvania, University College London, Imperial College London, Durham University, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of St Andrews, University of Oxford, Stanford University, Trinity College Dublin, University of Sydney, and the University of Hong Kong, to name but a few. An extraordinary 80% of the nearly 500 applications submitted by ISF students to universities and colleges around the world were rewarded with the offer of a place. The Class of 2021 was also offered a total of 33 scholarships, amounting to more than HK$ 15 million.
