Administrative Assistant (Education Technology)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Educational Technology Centre in support of daily office operations;
  • Perform data entry, corrections, and updates to the school’s student information system;
  • Monitor, manage, and respond to departmental communications;
  • Create and translate documents, resources, training materials, and communication for the Educational Technology Centre;
  • Update EdTech information platforms (1-to-1 Laptop Program, Parent Technology Resources, Moodle pages);
  • Manage purchasing, subscriptions, and vendor communications;
  • Conduct research and/or gather information on new EdTech related platforms;
  • Manage assigned tasks for Google Domain, i.e. User account management, backup and retrieve user data, Team Drive configuration & permissions, configure Google Domain integration with other platforms (On-the-job training is provided); and
  • Track hardware and software checked out to users through the EdTech Centre; and
  • Provide ad hoc help-desk technical support for stakeholders on Educational Technology platforms – (Google, Moodle, and PowerSchool) (On-the-job training is provided. Prior technical knowledge is not required, but knowledge of these platforms is a bonus.)

Requirements

  • Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above;
  • 3 years of work experience, fresh graduates will also be considered;
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua);
  • Competent computer skills; proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Critical thinking and attention to details;
  • Ability to work independently; and
  • Previous work experience with school information systems is an advantage.
