Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description

Financial Management (approximately 40%)

  • Handle a full set of accounting for the assigned entities;
  • Responsible for accounting operation, including bank reconciliation, prepare P&L, balance sheet and other financial reports on monthly basis;
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes;
  • Ensure the compliance of internal control and financial policies;
  • Prepare breakdowns for year end audit; and
  • Prepare of annual budget and forecast.

 

Treasury (approximately 30%)

  • Take ownership of monthly profit & loss and analyses of treasury function;
  • Perform and support treasury functions including cash management, fund management, bank administration; and
  • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-term planning; and provide cash analysis and other relative reports to management.

 

Investment (approximately 30%)

  • Prepare reporting and financial analysis of current/potential investment projects, conduct quantitative analysis on investment opportunities, and provide investment recommendations;
  • Work with internal and external parties for monitoring the risk-return of investment portfolio; and
  • Forecast cash flow positions and available funds for new investments; and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital spending/investment requirements.

 

Others

  • Handle secretarial tasks of Finance Committee
  • Support/lead other business activities and tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline;
  • Qualified CPA/ CFA holder will be an advantage;
  • At least 6 years of solid financial management and treasury experience; and at least 2 years at managerial position;
  • With experience from investment banks/ firms, private equity firms or treasury department of sizeable corporations is preferable but not a compulsory requirement;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Proficiency of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin; and
  • A knowledgeable and experienced user of SAP would be added advantage.

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline;
  • Knowledge of OS X and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (both Windows and Mac environment);
  • Knowledge of administering users and computers via Active Directory;
  • A good team player who is self-motivated, mature, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
