Chinese Creativity and Culture Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operation of Chinese Creativity and Culture Activities as assigned by the Head of CCA;
  • Lead Chinese Creativity and Culture Activities and implement projects to successfully achieve the objectives of the department including but limited to:
  1. (a)         Be responsible for curriculum development, course delivery, teaching resources planning, teaching and assessment quality assurance;
  2. (b)         Plan and design the program and proactively monitor its progress, resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective action;
  3. (c)          Participate in ongoing review and improvement of programs and the development and implementation of new courses and curricula; and
  • Monitor the performance of instructors and service providers to ensure course content, methodology and practices are in line with philosophy of ISF.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance, the overall integrity of the program and manage risks to the program’s successful outcome;
  • Promote the study of Chinese Culture and implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved; and
  • Manage and build good relationships with students, parents and ISF/BELL stakeholders.

Working Hours

  • 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday; and
  • Activities will be held in two campuses and the successful candidate will be required to lead activities at both sites located in Kennedy Town and Cyberport.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in History/ Chinese Culture related subjects;
  • Relevant experience in leading experiential learning activities;
  • Relevant experience at instructing children of early childhood and Primary age;
  • Must have at least 6 years of working experience with children and sound knowledge in experiential learning and in Chinese Cultural and Language event management;
  • Preference will be given to the candidate who has familiarity with K-12 education system in a speaking Mandarin environment, and has strong commitment to start new programs.
  • A strong leader with excellent people management skills;
  • Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Putonghua; Putonghua proficiency test at least level 2A; and
  • Excellent command of Microsoft office and Google docs.
