Experiential Learning Training Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure all trainings comply with the four pillars for the safety of students & participants;
  • Conduct all experiential learning staff training and professional development to ensure that staff meet the requirements to lead programs;
  • Proactively inform the Experiential Learning Safety and Operations Manager of significant risks and exposures related to risk controls and compliance with ISF and BELL standards;
  • Maintain current knowledge of international best practice, keeping abreast of emerging trends that can be incorporated into the experiential learning training;
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or the Experiential Learning Safety and Operations Manager and implement projects assigned to them to successfully achieve the objectives of the department. Including but not limited to local and oversea excursions, school wide events and Outdoor Exploration Society;
  • Monitor the performance of service providers to ensure course content, methodology and practices are aligned with ISF and BELL student safety and in line with the philosophy of ISF & BELL; and
  • Manages and builds relationships with ISF students, staff and parents.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Degree in Experiential Learning, Outdoor Education and or Education;
  • Tertiary Degree or Certification in Outdoor Education Risk and Safety Management;
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as an outdoor experiential education trainer;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Technology proficient;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and human relations skills and able to work with all levels of the department;
  • Will be required to work over-time or during weekends depending on the needs of the students and the activities, competitions, events organized.
