The appointee will report to the Assistant Director of Li Ren (立人) and will work within a through-school multi-disciplinary team focusing on wellbeing and inclusion provisions. The appointee is expected to provide learning support and assistance for students with diverse learning needs. Under the guidance of the class teachers and the Li Ren Center (立人中心), the appointee works with students as individual or small groups in the classroom. In addition, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support students in classes including all academic and/or specialist subjects as required
• Assist in the planning and implementation of learning enhancement for students and the monitoring of students’ progress
• Support students with social and emotional needs and help develop their social skills / behaviours, including the implementation of behaviour support plan when required
• Communicate with parents regularly on students’ progress
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, including supporting access to camps, educational visits and whole school activities, to enable students to fully participate in activities
• Assist Li Ren Center (立人中心) to implement groups or intervention programs

• Degree in Education, Chinese language or Teaching Chinese as a second language or other relevant discipline
• At least 2 years of experience working with children as Teacher Assistant in a school setting
• Fluency in Putonghua-Chinese and English with good verbal and written communication skills
• Prior professional development on inclusive education would be an advantage
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Caring, responsible and patient
