Netball Instructor

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands on teaching and instruction of the Netball Program at The ISF Academy. Instructors should maintain flow and continuity of all lessons and ensure correct and accurate technique is instructed and lessons achieve positive results;
  • Work within the current Co-Curricular Activities Department team and specifically the Netball Team;
  • Ensure learning areas are set up before each lesson and area is left as found after coaching session, lesson plans are followed and lesson attendance is accurately recorded;
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans and show initiative in improving lesson plans;
  • Attend regular workshops and meetings; and
  • Take an active role in promoting the Netball Program to the ISF community.

Requirements

  • Possess a current Netball Hong Kong, China Foundation Coach Certification or a Level 1 instructor certification from an internationally recognized association;
  • Possess a current first aid and CPR certificate;
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in teaching netball to primary and secondary school aged students, both ‘learn to play’ and competitive elements;
  • Willing to work irregular hours, as most activities take place in the late afternoon and weekend;
  • Be passionate about teaching netball to young children;
  • Able to work independently with initiative and drive to make things happen;
  • Be a team player and prepared to take on extra responsibility;
  • Solid hands-on interpersonal and collaborative communication skills;
  • English is essential and Putonghua is desirable; and
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent command of Microsoft office and Google platform.
