Senior Manager, Communications and Community Office
Job Responsibilities
- Deputy to the Head of Communications and contribute to the overall leadership, strategies and goals of the team;
- Oversee all duties and action plans of team members;
- Provide knowledge of the overall media, communications and market landscape with the ability to advise and deliver innovative approaches and plans to strengthen the competitiveness and positioning of ISF;
- Work closely and collaboratively with the leadership group, contributors and stakeholders across the ISF community to ensure all brand literature, collaterals, events and programs are of high quality, accuracy, good presentation, relevancy and impact to meet expectations and needs of the targeted audiences;
- First line alert to matters relating to the media, publicity, crisis & issues and stakeholder relations;
- Be able to edit, author or create original, sophisticated and compelling bilingual communications and correspondences to inform ISF stakeholders in the most appropriate manner and context, including but not limited to editorials, presentations, formal letters, speeches, proposals and digital content;
- Research and development skills to constantly contribute to the improvement of communications;
- Establish and maintain effective community partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Participate in community events and meetings to ensure effective interaction and to properly convey ISF key messages; and
- Design and develop reporting and metrics for measuring reach and impact of communications.
Experience and Qualities
- Degree holder in Communications, Marketing or equivalent;
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in communications, preferably in the education sector;
- Superior skills in all-round communications including hands-on digital marketing, social media and website management;
- Excellent analytical, reporting, organizational and people skills;
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills;
- Able to excel under a matrix and collaborative structure and culture;
- Positive, meticulous, resourceful, innovative and self-motivated;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficient in Putonghua;
- Possess a mature personality, a growth and learning mindset;
- Strong ability to foster interpersonal and inter-departmental relations;
- Sound branding knowledge, judgement, crisis preparedness and market sensitivity; and
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Manager.
