Short-Term Inclusive Education Assistant (Secondary School)
Li Ren Center (立人中心) – Wellbeing and Inclusion. Li Ren works holistically to support students with their learning and social emotional development. Offering a wide range of provision and services, Li Ren is a through school department working with students, parents and the ISF community.
Contract Period: January 2025 – June 2025
Job Responsibilities
- Support students in classes including all academic and/or specialist subjects as required;
- Assist in the planning and implementation of learning enhancement for students and the monitoring of students’ progress;
- Support students with social and emotional needs and help develop their social skills / behaviors, including the implementation of behavior support plan when required;
- Communicate with parents regularly on students’ progress;
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, including supporting access to camps, educational visits and whole school activities, to enable students to fully participate in activities; and
- Assist Li Ren Center (立人中心) to implement groups or intervention programs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or other relevant discipline;
- At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with learning diversity;
- Fluency in English and Putonghua-Chinese with good verbal and written communication skills;
- Prior professional development on inclusive education would be an advantage;
- The ability to work well as part of a team; and
- Caring, responsible and patient.
