Message from Ms. Frances Wong, Founder of The ISF Academy and Chairman of the School Management Committee and Mr. John Yan, S.C., Chairman of the Independent Schools Foundation Board and Supervisor of The ISF Academy

We are writing to inform the community that with immediate effect from June 12, Dr. Oliver Kraemer will be leaving his positions as Head of School of The ISF Academy and Chief Executive Officer of The ISF Pre-School, the Independent Schools Foundation, and Bauhinia Experiential Learning Limited.
We thank Dr. Kraemer for his contributions to the school, and wish him well in his future endeavors.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Malcolm Pritchard will return to Hong Kong on a full-time basis to assume the role of Head of School from the 2026-27 Academic Year and to lead ISF until a suitable successor is selected. Before that, commencing June 13, Dr. Pritchard will be traveling to meet with alumni and various institutions on behalf of ISF, and to support regular Shuyuan programs at Columbia and Stanford Universities in the USA and Cambridge and Oxford Universities in the United Kingdom.
We reaffirm the continuity of our senior leadership team, and our unwavering commitment to ISF’s mission, program excellence, and ethos of caring for students and staff.
The Board will soon begin a rigorous Head of School search process, and we will keep the community informed of developments in this regard.
We are grateful for your continued trust and support; and for the hard work and commitment of our teaching and operations staff. We wish you and your families a restful and enjoyable summer.
