SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships
The Board of Governors of the Academy has established a Merit-Based Scholarship Program to encourage our students to strive for excellence in their chosen passions, be it in academics, the arts, sports, or other areas. This scholarship program provides for a fee remission of 50% to 100% of the annual tuition fee and, in the case of the Special Talent Scholarship, an annual allowance to reimburse any Special Talent expenses such as training and competition fees.
The objectives of this program are:
- to encourage and motivate our students to strive for both academic excellence and a commitment to development of self and others; and
- to acknowledge our students’ achievements and efforts, particularly in the area of academics, of leadership and mentorship of others and of active and impactful contribution to the school, local and global communities.
As this program is separate and distinct from the Financial Aid Program, students who qualify and receive the Academy Scholarship may also apply for Financial Aid.
Students who are presently studying in the school, as well as transfer students, are eligible to apply for these scholarships. The Scholarship Selection Committee does not distinguish between existing and transfer students in its deliberations.
Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee the award of a scholarship but serves as a guide to the minimum expected academic requirements. The award of the scholarship is at the sole discretion of the School.
Eligibility for the scholarship to be awarded is predicated on the re-registration and return of the student in the following academic year. Scholarship recipients who withdraw from the Academy without sufficient notice will be charged the full 100% amount of fees in lieu of notice.
