Alumni Spotlight: Michael Yuen (Class of 2025)
Student-athlete Michael Yuen and Swarthmore College respectively won the individual and team championships in the 4th Annual George Cangero Invitational held in Long Island, New York from September 6-7. In this tournament he shot an impressive -6 (66) in the opening round, matching the program best in Swarthmore’s history. For his outstanding performance and brilliant sportsmanship, Michael was also named the NCAA Centennial Conference Golfer of the Week.
From his early success as a junior “Overall Champion” at local tournaments and receiving the ISF “Sports Excellence Award” (in MYP and DP), to seizing victory at the 4th Annual George Cangero Invitational, Michael has shown fierce perseverance and an ever-growing passion for the sport.
