中華研究中心的目標是在弘立書院推廣、倡導中國傳統文化，拓展學生全球視野，承載學校「八德一智」的核心價值觀，成為學生與弘立社區整體成員進行中國文化學習和文化探究的有力載體。中華研究中心服務於學校的總體辦學理念和教學規劃，是對中、小學中文教學的延伸和補充，為學生提供一個中華人文和跨學科學習的場所，讓學校與弘立社群成員，加強內外學術文化交流與社交聯繫。
